Cahir Ireland

A delightful "cottage ornee'" built in the early 1800s by Richard Butler, 1st Earl of Glengall. It was part of the estate of Lord and Lady Cahir, and used for entertaining guests. Its interior contains a graceful spiral staircase and some elegantly decorated rooms. The wallpaper in the Salon manufactured by the Dufour factory is one of the first commercially produced Parisian wallpapers. A little overwhelming but the furniture and the wall paper had the same, exact colors and design. Some of the wall paper in the "entertaining" room were original. It appeared very European and I found many ideas to decorate my home.

Like most evenings, we found a local pub for grub. A few cheers and happy faces, after all we are in Ireland.
