On our way out of town, we passed the ceremonial area of Lough Gur. An adorable milk rancher named Timothy Casey walked over in knee high rain boots to great us. He was the land owner and kept the honor of keeping the grounds up, not to mention, his heard of cattle off the ancient ares. He talked about some of the history surrounding the ceremonial area but also showed us a large rock standing out of the ground. He stated there once were dirt roads thousands of years ago and they used the stone as a marker or road sign.
